How is eyebrow transplantation done?
Since the number of grafts to be transferred is less, it takes less time (2-3 hours). It is performed under local anesthesia and local anesthesia is applied to the patient twice before planting. Although minimal pain is felt during the anesthesia procedure, the patient does not feel any pain after the application. This helps the patient to make a comfortable root transfer without feeling anything during the operation.
During the consultation, the eyebrow shape suitable for the patient's facial features is determined with a golden ratio caliper. First, local anesthesia is applied to the eyebrow area. Since the required number will be low, the surgeon first opens the channels with the sapphire FUE method. In this way, the required number of grafts is precisely known, preventing excessive grafting from the donor area, and minimizing the risk by reducing the time the grafts stay outside the body. Then, the hair of the female donor area is shaved by opening a window so that other long hair can be camouflaged, and local anesthesia is applied to this area. With the micro FUE method, the grafts taken from the donor area are quickly transferred to the previously opened channels. After the operation, the patient's care and treatment instructions are explained, the dressing is completed and the patient is discharged. The day after the procedure, the patient rests at home and is invited to the clinic for follow-up evaluation on the 2nd day. Although the adaptation period of the eyebrows varies from person to person, it takes an average of 1-2 years.
